I got this from the Proboards support forum
If you haven't yet, I recommend making more then one skin for members to use. In fact, I really recommend you adding a lot more color to your default skin.
There's no banner. A banner on a forum is really important. If you don't know how to make one, I am sure someone here can assist you.
The forum looks a little dull. I think you should add some conversational off-topic boards where members can get together. If it's just focused on role-playing, then guests might not be interested in joining. Some people feel comfortable knowing or getting to know the people they role-play with.
An Introduction individual board is extremely important on a forum. Right now, your forum kind of comes across as unfriendly and a little too focused on role-playing. Members want to see how friendly the staff are toward their members and get to know them a bit. It just kind of seems like you're focused on role-playing and using people for role-playing.
You pretty much just put it together and didn't really take your time with it. It's very appearing to members when they see staff really care about their forum. Adding colors and codes really make a difference. It makes the forum look very appealing.

I see a lot wrong with this forum already. I don't really see anything wrong with using a default color, but if you want your forum to look like a "default" forum like ProBoards main forum colors do, I recommend choosing different colors. It kind of looks like you're copying ProBoards. If you haven't yet, I recommend making more then one skin for members to use.
